Why bother putting up a weekly recap if I didn’t run? I want to show everyone I’m capable of not running and staying completely sane.
I’m resting up for a tough 6 weeks of running. I plan on running a minimum of 12 hours per week to build stamina and speed during longer races. I didn’t like how I reacted when the going got tough during my last race and I want to put in the kind of work that will have me break through those moments.
My last sustained training plan was when I first started to run trails competitively. I set a goal of climbing a minimum of 10,000 ft. during my weekly runs. I didn’t care about the mileage or the pace as long as I had accumulated 10,000+ ft. of elevation gain. It worked out really well and I hope my new goal will result in better running.
